What We're Doing
TransitTogether providers are taking action
to protect our workers and riders during the pandemic.
We sanitize our fleets every day. We disinfect everything you touch.
We cap the number of passengers so that you can maintain social distancing to extent possible.
We have protective screens on our buses to protect operators and passengers.
We offer new ways to pay. Metro, BSOOB and South Portland Bus have a new contactless payment system. Casco Bay Lines, Concord Coach Lines, and Amtrak Downeaster require contactless payment, too.
What You Can Do
Prepare before you go. Review the safety protocols of the agencies you'll use when you travel, and make a plan before your ride.
Wear a face covering that covers your nose and mouth.
Wash your hands with soap and water. A 20-second scrub kills germs.
Maintain physical distancing. That means remaining 6 feet away from other passengers and the crew whenever possible.
Sneeze and cough into a tissue. Your elbow works, too.
Stay home if you're sick. And if you think you need a Covid test, check out this list of testing sites.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. It helps stop viruses from entering your body.
Get your Dirigo Touch Pass for a contact-free way to pay on Metro, BSOOB, and South Portland Bus.
